About the Project

Healthy Schools Antigua is a project that aims to support the creation of healthy school communities using a comprehensive school health (CSH) approach in Antigua and Barbuda. Working collaboratively with local school partners, our goal is to enhance the health and well-being of children, as well as build systems and capacity to monitor progress related to children’s health through local research. We will do this through the following objectives: 1) bring together key partners from Antigua and Canada and share CSH resources, strategies, and experiences in taking a CSH approach; 2) assess the implementation and effectiveness of a CSH intervention in Antigua and Barbuda; 3) establish a sustainable school surveillance system to monitor child health and well-being; and 4) support local and regional research capacity.
